I would definitely add the Amana washer to this list, the Amana NFW7200TW. This model is made by Samsung for the Amana brand, and offers a great band for the buck. Right around the same price as the Frigidaire.

The Frigidaire washer exceeded my expectations – it is compact enough to fit in our 3F single-door closet-sized laundry room (stacked w/ the matching gas dryer) and does a fine job churning out clean laundry. I am a firm believer in front-loading washers now – it uses so little water and is every effective. The spin cycle really dries your laundry to the point that some just need a bit of air drying time (rather than using the dryer). Highly recommended.

I’ve found nothing but good things about the LG front load washing machines. In fact, LG in general seems to be a well respected company for all appliances.

I am going to have to beg to differ with you concerning your assertion that anything but the LG WM2010CW is the best budget front load washer on the market. This is cheaper than the Frigidaire you list, and has gotten impeccable reviews.

Another good front load washer out there is the Bosch WFMC2201UC. It is pretty reasonably priced and has gotten good reviews.

Don’t buy the Whirlpool Duet front load. I have had this for less than 2 years. Computer board was changed – still having same problem F70,F71.

well this has been very informative. i’ve learned that every brand and model is the best and the worst on the market. ive never liked spinning around in circles. lets leave that to the washers.
i think ill just expect to get what i pay for. thats almost always true anyways.

Frigidaire frontload washer lasted only a couple years before the bearings went out. The repair guy said this is a common problem for these washers after they are only a few years old. Cost to repair would be the same as buying a new one. Take my advice and buy a different brand.
Also be aware that certain Kenmore models are made by Frididaire.

The Siemens (Bosch?) are absolutely the worst; I am looking at this site because our five year old washer is now leaking all over the floor. we have had nothing but problems with it – like almost all Siemens products I have ever bought. I will not buy a Siemens!

The absolute worst set I have ever bought is the Samsung. It does not clean clothes and my dryer needed a new motor after 4 years. It is quiet but that is about it!!!! I would not give it to my worst enemy.
